Overview
In the lead up to the 2018 midterm elections, Samantha Bee’s team wanted to create a fun, engaging, and gamified way to leverage her existing viewer base and drive young voter turnout. We helped to design the core UX of the app, hire engineers, and test the platform through its launch and throughout the midterm election cycle.
Results
The app was a resounding hit as up to 30,000 people tuned in each day concurrently to hear from Samantha directly as she hosted trivia-style games centered around politics. The app was ultimately responsible for driving more than 50,000 voter registrations in key swing states.
